It is now less than five weeks until Christmas so how about we make these next five weeks action packed with awesome content for you to implement.
This I promise, will end 2019 truly amazingly for you and will help kickstart 2020 the FUNdaMENTAL way.
Over the past seven weeks we have covered the Wokingham Action for Happiness Course which was held at The Hub, my training facility and to say it was a huge success would be a tremendous understatement.
The course has been out of this world. Every attendee learnt so much and the whole course grew as individuals but also as a team too. You will find that if you go over the last few weeks,
I have shared some cheeky little insights from each week with lots of actionable points that hopefully have helped you in some way. Clearly, the course is where the real magic happens, so I implore you to please get in contact if you wish to hear more. The course sells itself. Please for me, get involved and if you love this EVERY STEP COUNTS column then I know for sure you will love the EXPLORING WHAT MATTERS course.
Now onto this week’s local service provider who I feel needs a mention. Again, over the last seven weeks, I have been promoting some professionals or places that I feel deserve that mention. Since the start of the mini-project I have covered the Wokingham Wellbeing Conference, ROC fitness based in Arborfield, Steph and her Mindfulness company, Marla and her awesome LL2L gym based in Bracknell, the new ‘In Your Corner Boxing Club’ based in Bracknell, Heidi’s very special 100 day fitness challenge and just last week, I covered Aaron Hopkins and his strength-based approach to training based in Winnersh just down the road.
We really have covered some amazing people, some amazing facilities but mainly some amazing opportunities for all you awesome readers.
This week, I want to cover another amazing facility based in Wokingham, specifically near Woosehill and that facility is the awesome ARC gym.
I first got talking with Brian and his team (family) late last year when they were setting up the gym.
At the time, it was clearly obvious that they were onto a winner and wow, have they not disappointed.
The facility is quite unlike anything else in the area, it really is as professional and high end as they come.
I have been to the facility several times since it opened and after talking with Brian several weeks ago, I have to share our chat with you today.
I asked Brian what made the gym special.
“ARC is an independent family business with a very friendly, sociable atmosphere.
“Unlike all the big corporate gyms around, our place is all about family, there’s that feel that you don’t get anywhere else.”
He’s not wrong there at all. Being run by all the family, it’s truly unique. If families and a great atmosphere is what your after, then you won’t be disappointed with ARC.
So, what does ARC offer that nowhere else does then?
Brian proudly stated that: “We’re a strength and conditioning gym with a unique selection of top of the range equipment catering to all needs, from beginner to athlete.”
I must agree with him here. When you step into the gym, you will be taken back by the sheer quantity of the equipment but also the quality too.
I trained in some pretty awesome gyms when I was in the Royal Marines, but this place is most certainly up there.
Name a piece of kit and its most likely in there. Name a goal that you are trying to reach, and I am sure they can help.
On top of all the above, they also offer free tea and coffee on your first visit (it tastes great, head on down, again you would be silly to turn down a cuppa on ARC), a free induction when you join to help acclimatise you to the gym, free classes for all the members, a separate cardio floor that boasts a serious amount of equipment and one last thing, a Smoothie bar. Pretty cool right?
Like I said, the place has it all, its an awesome facility and if you are into your gym and fancy something different then check it out.
One more thing, I asked several of my clients who train at ARC gym, what they thought about this special gym, and this is what they had to say about it:
“It’s insane, never have I trained in a place where there the equipment is of such high quality.”
“I have trained in several other local gyms. ARC smashes them all. It’s tidy, offers loads of classes, easy to park and the place is always buzzing, I love it.”
“If you like training, then you’ll love ARC.”
“Me and my son train there 2/3 times per week, it’s fun, clean, professional and the owners are always there for you, I wouldn’t train anywhere else.”
So, there you have it. Head on down if you fancy something different towards the end of 2019 and the beginning of 2020.
Just like previous weeks, I have no vested interest in these special places locally, but I do love sharing their unique stories and the exciting opportunities that they offer my awesome readers.
If you want to learn more about ARC Gym, then head over to their social media channels or visit www.arc-gym.co.uk and you can find out more.
On a leaving note check out my quote of the day to leave you inspired for change and motivated for the last five weeks of 2019:
“If you think lifting is dangerous, try being weak. Being weak is dangerous.”
Awesome quote by Bret Contreras, I couldn’t agree more. This applies to your mental and physical strength so get working on both of them today…you could even contact ARC, you won’t regret it.
Have an awesome Sunday and be YOU, be HAPPY and be STRONG. Three things in life that you do have control over.
