WAINGELS COLLEGE students are celebrating success with their GCSE results.

In all, a fifth of students achieved the highest possible grades of a 9-7 (A* -A) and half of all entries achieved a 9-5 grade (A*-B).

The Woodley’ school’s vice principal, John Salberg, said: “We are proud to announce another set of excellent GCSE results this year. It is testament to the commitment and resilience of our staff, students and their parents, that we continue to build on our successes, growing exceptional young people.

“Each and every one of our students should be proud of their achievements, efforts and successes and deserve all of our praise.

“Thanks must also go to our dedicated and passionate staff who have worked tirelessly supporting our students, and to our parents and community for their support and encouragement.

“We wish all of our students the very best in their next steps of education, safe in the knowledge that they have developed the character and skills needed to excel in wherever their journey takes them.

“We are looking forward to welcoming back the majority of our students in September to begin their next chapter at Waingels.”
