Head to the pub for Reading Operatic Society’s Easter show: singers dancers and actors wanted

Workshops will be held in Earley to help team cast roles

OVER the next three weeks, Reading Operatic Society is holding workshops and auditions for its Easter show.

Between April 26 and 27, the group will take over the Oakwood Centre in Woodley to perform Closing Time, a variety show with a difference.

The group say that it’s based around an evening at the pub and will feature favourite musical numbers from shows past and present.

It is now looking for soloists, chorus members, singers, dancers and actors to take part in the show. The help determine roles, there will be series of workshops from tonight at Earley St Peter’s Church Hall in Church Road, Earley.

The dates are Thursday, January 10, 17, and Mondays 21 and 28. Each session runs from 7.45pm to 9.45pm.

The audition will take place on Sunday, February 3, from 1pm to 6pm.
