Jon Boden to perform at Nettlebed Folk Club on Monday night

THE lead singer of a folk ‘juggernaut’ is coming to Nettlebed’s Folk Club next week.

Jon Boden, from the band Bellowhead, launched his solo career three years ago and will be gracing the stage to perform self-penned songs from his albums Painted Lady, Songs From The Floodplain and Afterglow.

He will also sing material from Bellowhead, Spiers & Boden and his A Folk Song A Day project, which has been critically acclaimed and enthusiastically received.

Organisers of the folk club say that this is a very rare acoustic show from the singer and composer.

There will be a support spot from his Bellowhead compatriot and former duo partner, John Spiers.

The concert takes place in the Village Club in Nettlebed’s High Street from 7.45pm on Monday, June 17.
