Motorcyclist dies in Crowthorne following collision


A MAN has died following a collision in Crowthorne last night.

Thames Valley Police said that the incident took place in Wellingtonia Avenue just after 6pm on Friday, November 30.

A car and a motorcycle collided. Police said that the motorcyclist, a 53-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.

No one else was injured.

Police said that the road was shut for four hours to allow its officers to carry out an investigation. No arrests have been made.

Investigating officer, Sergeant James Atkinson, of the Thames Valley Police Joint Operations Unit for Roads Policing, said: “We’re appealing for any information relating to this incident, and we would like to speak to anyone who witnessed it, or who has any information about it.

“If you have any details which could be relevant to our investigation, please call the Thames Valley Police non-emergency on 101, quoting URN 1138 (30/11).”
