A WOODEN beam was used to smash a car windscreen in another late-night incident in Wokingham’s town centre.
This incident took place on Sunday, March 31 between 9pm and midnight in the Cockpit Path car park.
Footage of the incident has been circulating on social media since, showing a man allegedly handling the beam and throwing it at the car before grinning at the camera.
Now police are appealing for witnesses to come forward to help them solve the case.
They said that the offender broke the windscreen of a silver Toyota Starlet belonging to the victim, a 23-year-old man.
The offender then continued to cause further damage to the body panels on the car.
Police said that the incident was captured on camera and officers would like to speak to the person who recorded the footage.
And a 22-year-old man from Wokingham has been arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage. He has been released under investigation.
Investigating officer, PC Helen Craven from Loddon Valley police station, said: “I am appealing for the witness who captured this incident on camera to come forward, as they may have information vital to our investigation.
