Reading Buses’ Sarah has a great idea for Mother’s Day

ANYONE looking for that perfect card to send to their Mum this Mothering Sunday will be in for a treat if they head to Reading Buses’ depot.

Staff member Sarah Mills is offering a selection of her own carefully created cards in a bid to raise as much money as possible for the company’s charity of the year, Cancer Research Kids & Teens.

The marketing assistant said that for as long as she can remember she has always hand painted a card for her mother on Mother’s Day.

And now she has expanded her idea by creating cards that people can buy just in time for Sunday, March 31.

Sarah said: “There are several designs to choose from and I hope people will take a look at the selection on the counter in the Great Knollys Street depot reception.

“Our customers as well as members of staff are invited to come along and have a look at the selection, buy their mum a card and at the same time support the charity.”

Reading Buses runs the Leopard, Lion, Orange and 9 routes across the borough and recently bought Courtney Buses, which runs services to Twyford.
