Robin Houghton to be first guest in 2019 at South Street’s Poets’ Cafe

THE first guest poet of 2019 for Reading’s Poets’ Cafe will be award-winning wordsmith Robin Houghton.

Her 2018 collection, All The Relevant Gods, was a winner in the Cinnamon Press Pamphlet Competition. And she has also won the New Writer Poetry Competition 2012, the Stanza Competition in 2014 and the Hamish Canham Prize in 2013.

You can hear her work at South Street Arts Centre on Friday, January 11.

The cafe also includes an open mic sport for local poets to read their work.

Entry is £5 or £4 for poets who perform their work.
