Vegan menu will help Embrook’s Dog & Duck celebrate National Vegetarian Week

The Dog & Duck in Embrook

AN EMMBROOK pub is marking National Vegetarian Week with a special vegan night this week.

The Dog & Duck in Matthewsgreen Road is to hold the event on Wednesday, May 15.

Starters is a choice of red lentil soup, red pepper and tomato hummus or spiced chickpea and sweet potato cake.

The main course is a pulled barbecue jackfruit burger, a charred barbecue plant-based protein skewer or a superman salad.

For dessert, there is a chocolate cake with cherry ice cream or a baked blueberry croissant topped with summer berries, yogurt and maple syrup.

Two courses cost £20 and the pub expects demand to be high and encourages advance booking.

For more details, call the pub on 0118 978 0544.
