VOICE OF WOKINGHAM: Two precious lives lost: tragedies both

IT IS never nice to be reporting on sad news stories. To have two in one week is incredibly rare.

Two young people, both teenagers, lost their lives in tragic circumstances.

Both appear to have been returning home after nights out – nights that should have been part and parcel of growing up.

For the families of both James Fennell and Daniel Williams they face unbearable sadness. There will always be a space in their lives were two much-loved young men were.

It is too early to say what happened.

But we can unite in grief and in solidarity for two families who now have to pick up the pieces, for two sets of friends who will forever miss their mate.

Our hearts and thoughts go out to both families.

There is no other word to describe what has happened to James and Daniel: it is simply a tragedy.

May these precious souls rest in peace.
