Wokingham and Emmbrook Boxing Club are holding SEN sessions for children

NEW CLASSES have been set up at Wokingham and Emmbrook Boxing Club for children with special education needs.

Mark Douglas, head coach at the club, has teamed up with Daniel Knight, owner at In Your Corner Person Fitness and Phil Mortimer a local teacher from Garth Hill School to run SEN boxing sessions.

The classes are aimed at getting the student active by way of basis boxing exercises, focusing on agility, reactions, pad work and bag work. The classes have been a huge success and are growing all the time.

All the classes are coached by fully qualified England Boxing coaches who would normally run the club throughout the week.

“From me personally as a coach, it gives me great pride to be involved with such a program,” said boxing club coach Troy Carpenter.

“I think it’s fair to say I enjoy it just as much as our boxers.

“I am always blown away by the dedication and enthusiasm of everyone taking part.”

For details on the classes please contact Daniel Knight on 07546 887688.
