Grants available for schools and priority areas in the borough

Wokingham United Charities

WOKINGHAM United Charities have now opened their grants for schools and priority areas.

Funding of up to £2,000 can be secured for school-based projects that help to improve the opportunities available for disadvantaged children and families.

This includes equipment for sessional activities, trips and residential breaks as long as they are delivered outside the standard curriculum.

Funding of up to £5,000 will be available for the ‘priority areas’ marked out by the group. These include Norreys Estate, Gorse Ride Estate, St Sebastian’s area in Wokingham Without, and are referred to as the ‘area of benefit’. Wokingham United Charities are strongly welcoming applications with a sense of community involvement.

Organisations eligible for the grant must not have received funding from Wokingham United Charities since Monday, April 1, must have returned all monitoring forms for any previous grant and must reside or assist those who do reside in their ‘area of benefit’.
