Wokingham’s Town Hall clock to be repaired

Clockface

YOU CAN usually set your watch to it but this week Wokingham town hall’s famous timepiece has only been right twice a day.

The clock that forms the centrepiece for the Market Place building has broken down and clocksmiths are working… round the clock to get it going again.

A spokesperson for Wokingham Town Council (WTC) said: “Unfortunately the hands on the Town Hall clock stopped moving at 8.10 over the weekend, however the clock is still chiming.

“WTC have called an engineer in and anticipate that the clock will be fixed by the end of next week.”
