Woosehill Morrisons open as normal despite roof falling in

Morrisons in Woosehill

A Woosehill supermarket is offering free chocolates to customers after sections of the roof fell in earlier today.

Parts of the Morrisons store have been cordoned off after ceiling tiles were flooded on Saturday.

No one has been injured.

At the moment, two checkouts and the self-service tills are open. Although staff are warning of waits of up to 45 minutes, The Wokingham Paper was able to use the self-service tills straight away.

And staff have been handing out chocolates and sweets to cheer customers up.

Builders are on site and the cafe area is currently shut. The rest of the store is open as usual.

A Morrisons spokesman said : “The store is still open and remains safe for our colleagues and customers. Some areas are cordened off for now but we’re already working on it.”
